On Monday, the Pakistan Cricket Board revealed an updated itinerary for the upcoming white-ball series between their national team and New Zealand. According to a statement released by the PCB, they and New Zealand Cricket “unanimously agreed to make adjustments. Pakistan changed New Zealand’s schedule.
The BlackCaps will begin their tour with the first three Twenty20 International matches from April 14-17 in Lahore. This is a change from the original itinerary, which called for the BlackCaps to begin their tour with the first four of the five Twenty20 International matches in Karachi.
The remaining three Twenty20 matches and the first one-day International of the five-match series will be played in Rawalpindi. The last match of the series will be played in Karachi on May 7.
Supposedly, the alterations in the tour itinerary have been made due to the upcoming general elections in Punjab. This is a compensatory one by the New Zealanders for their abrupt withdrawal from their visit back in 2021.
